Less than 7 hours for our boys to return back home!
Correction, It’s less than 7 hours untill judgemend day.
On what time tomorro the judges will decide on the appeal, is unknown.
Also, the ruling is only about the appeal. So this doesnt automaticly mean they will be free tomorrow.
Is there something special on the 10th that I missed?
Because the strike has been extended to the 18th for days and just today it got extended to the 21st. Also, lawyers were on strike this week (5-9 Nov) and will continue next week (12-16 Nov) with lawyers from Athens.
About what strikes are you talking?
Can you give me a source for that information about extension to the 18th?

Today’s announcement for extension to 21/11/2012 (greek).
Can’t find the older announcement to the 18th. I use apergia.gr to follow the strikes, if you can read greek.
im trying to get this confirmed with the laywer. so far no reply yet.. stay tuned.
Unfortunatly, i have to confirm that you are right Tony Grunt.
I just got confirmation from the lawyer.
a newspost will follow soon.
poor guys… still no news ?
There is news, see above.
The greek judges extended their “vacation” even more. Why go back to work when soon they can have xmas vacations…
Country is broke…. just what they need, strikes to ask for higher wages, that should help. There must be a time frame until they have to be entitled to a hearing… What happens when that time passes ??
Can 120-days rule still help our guys? With Greeks working like this its very likely that this 120 days is not the worst case that may happen.
well it is not looking promising…. We should get in early for Xmas presents.. Is there going to be a Xmas parcel… should we send stuff to you ? What are there shirt sizes.. as it sounds like they could do with a jumper or 3..
We’re only allowed to send letters. so, apart from a Xmas themed letter, we simply cant send anything else.
Has anyone more familiar with the case than I am tried to drum up public support on Avaaz at all? They have a really useful new tool that could boost the profile of this case.. You can find it here http://www.avaaz.org/en/petition/start_a_petition/ I’d have put a petition together myself but I am not familiar enough with the main players.
Correct me if I’m wrong, the judges have extended their big strike to the 21st ? (you have to wonder about these people demanding more money when their country is broke)
At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel - finally!
I’ll keep all my fingers crossed!
once the charges are dropped they should sue Greece via the European Court of Human Rights. it’s a crime what happened here. releasing suspected spies on a bail of 5000 euro makes no sense. it just shows that this was pure arbitrariness. something like that shouldn’t be allowed inside something like the EU. i hope they don’t just go defense they should attack for what has been done to them.
European court of Human Rights has no authority in issuing a law binding ruling that can be enforced,
The most it can do is issue a condemnation.
And with espionage issue involved… (a matter of national security) good luck with that!!
I’ll just repeat I’m very glad they are released….
Yeah… great news…but it would be a bitter sweet pill… 5000 eu to be on bail. They could of been out of that hell hole 127 days ago. Time to send them and their families on a better holiday as the last one sucked. Good luck guys.
Maybe I’m wrong (haven’t read it carefully) but it is reported that the greek secret service gave a cleab bill on their behalf.
That should weight very much in their favor in future court proceedings.
A bail should have been imposed to keep the judicial balances.
Would anyone be happy with a, say 1 million euros bail that noone could possibly pay?
From what I gather the small amount of bail as well as a no-threat report for greek secret services pretty much paves the way for a full acquital.
